Mariska Hargitay Not Being Written Out Of SVU

The executive producer of television’s Law & Order: SVU has denied tabloid reports that Mariska Hargitay has been written out of the current season of the hit show, calling the story “bizarre.”
Hargitay was sidelined for one episode of the cop drama after she suffered complications stemming from a collapsed lung in January, undergoing a second operation last week.
In Touch magazine reports that the 45-year-old actress was being written out “of the rest of the season” as a result of the surgery, however, Neal Baer says the rumors are false.
“That [report] is so bizarre!,” Baer tells E! News. ”Her publicist was saying that this is going around, but the answer is absolutely not true! She will be back shortly. I talk to her all the time. She’s doing great… She is slated to come back, she’s feeling really well and she will definitely be back. And she’ll be back for the last four episodes.”
