Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown were both announced as performers at the upcoming Michael Jackson tribute concert by Jermaine Jackson – but both artists have denied being involved.
Earlier this week, Brown released a statement confirming that he won’t be performing.
Today, Mary J. Blige’s rep told Rolling Stone magazine that the singer was in talks to perform at the concert, but was unable to commit as she has a previous commitment at a Gucci show in Milan, which was booked months earlier.
Other artists confirmed to perform at the September 26 event include Akon, Natalie Cole, Sister Sledge and German boy band US5.
