Following the mammoth success of last year‘s ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’, actor Matt Damon has signed on to play Jason Bourne again in the fourth installment of the mega-successful ‘Bourne’ movie series.
The franchise has raked in more than US$945 million to date, with the first three movies based on books by Robert Ludlum.
Ludlum passed away in 2001, so the Bourne series has been continued by writer Eric Van Lustbader, who has also written another two in the series.
Variety.com reports that director Paul Greengrass is also on board, despite both Greengrass and Damon’s initial hesitation at continuing the series beyond ‘Ultimatum’.
According to movie website slashfilm.com, the next Jason Bourne movie might still be a couple of years away, as the pair are both involved in other projects for the foreseeable future.
