Melrose Place 2.0 Pilot Given Official Green Light

US television network The CW has given the official go ahead to produce a ‘Melrose Place’ pilot, based on the hit 90′s series that starred Heather Locklear.

The reboot will be directed by Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim, who’s previous efforts include ’24′, ‘Deadwood’ and ‘An Inconvenient Truth’.

No official screening date has been announced for the new show.
