Metallica Frontman Not Detained

July 10th, 2007

James Hetfield, frontman for rock group Metallica, has denied a tabloid report saying he was detained by airport security in the U.K. last week.

Metallica were one of the artists performing at last weekend’s Live Earth concert at London’s Wembley Arena.

British newspaper ‘The Times’ reported that Hetfield was held and questioned before the officials realized who he was.

A representative for Hetfield told Usmagazine.com that, "It’s false.  It’s not true."
