Michael Jackson will not have to travel to London to take the stand in a $7 million lawsuit brought about by a Bahrainian prince, after reaching an out of court settlement “in principle”.
The 50-year-old King of Pop was due to travel to the UK after Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa filed a suit stating Jackson had failed to honor an agreement that included a new album, a memoir and a stage play.
“As Mr. Jackson was about to board his plane to London, he was advised by his legal team to postpone his travels since the parties had concluded a settlement in principle,” a spokeswoman for Jackson said on Sunday (November 23).
