The family of Michael Jackson announced Monday plans for a tribute concert to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the release of his first single.
Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert will be held in the Millenium Stadium, Wales, in front of an anticipated crowd of 75,000 people, with the line up to be announced on August 4.
“My brother would be proud to see artists he admired and respected very much come together,” brother Tito said at a press conference.
Noticeably absent from the announcement was Janet Jackson and their brother Jermaine.

Michael’s death and life are surrounded by so much controversy even two years later. Our celebrity-worship goes too far in creating our own ideas of icons such as MJ, as to leave a warped dynasty of myth and legend. Who was The King of Pop beneath the different faces? Check out my surreal portrait in commemoration of his passing and tell me about what you remember about him at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/06/in-mem…

This Tribute Concert is a ripoff. Global Live Events is charging a fee (charity pledge) on top of the ticket price. The Jackson Family and Global Live Events will make a load of money with this concert, yet they will leave the charity up to the fans whom are really the "suckers" in this story. Remember the Jackson Tribute Fragrances by Joe Jackson and the French crook, this perfumageddon died of a quick and ugly death. Do not trust the Jackson Family!
