Yet another chapter opens in the trainwreck that is Lindsay Lohan’s family situation today, after her dad Michael Lohan – accompanied by deputies from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department – arrived at LiLo’s apartment claiming to be concerned about her 16-year-old sister Ali, who has been staying with Linds. The Mean Girls star was none too happy about the surprise visit, and instantly took to Twitter to share her frustration.
“I have no choice but to make this public, due to my sister’s safety, as well as my own. ‘my ex-dad’ just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil’s advocate with officers…” the tweet-rant began.
“Let’s not forget, that my father KIDNAPPED me from a COURT ROOM when I was 4 years old and is CRAZY.
“He has NEVER paid child support, and is marrying a tabloid writer and can barely spell his own name due to his ‘brain’ that has been ruined due to HIS drug use.
“When will it ever end…it’s been going on my whole life with him-hasn’t he caused enough pain?
“Thank g-d for mommy…w/out her, i wouldn’t even know myself..”
Lohan also wrote that while she was “not angry”, she is planning to take legal action against her father.
“My lawyer isn’t answering I NEED A RESTRAINING ORDER! MY SISTER AND FRIEND TOO!!!!! HE’S NUTS!!!” she wrote.
“my BUILDING didn’t STOP him, isn’t it supposed to be safe? THAT’S WHY I MOVED HERE! it coulda been FAKE cops! dressed up!
“I am wondering what the world is coming to when my father can hire cops and walk into my apt w/out notice. Not to mention, he’s the one that’s been in prison most of my life…he, or the sheriffs had NO legal grounds to be here at all.”
She added, “I’m calm, I just feel that everyone needs to know the truth this time.”
The Los Angeles police department confirmed that the incident took place, releasing a statement that reads: “The father of actress Lindsay Lohan contacted West Hollywood station personnel regarding the welfare of his 15-year-old daughter. Deputies responded to the residence and contacted [Lindsay] Lohan as well as the minor in question. Deputies determined [Ali] was not in danger and left.”
Michael Lohan also told E! News that he made the trip out of concern for his youngest daughter Ali, who is actually 16.
“I went to the Sheriff’s Department and I told them I wanted to go over to my daughter’s apartment to check on her welfare. She is a minor and she has no right being here alone. I am not going to see Ali go down the same path as Lindsay,” he told E! News.
Lohan says he became concerned when he heard that Ali and Lindsay had left their apartment at 2:30am one night last week and took off, apparently speeding, to get to Coachella.
“The manager of her building gave me the key and we went up to her apartment. I knocked on the door, and sheriff’s deputies announced they were entering,” he said.
“Lindsay seemed somewhat hungover and irate,” he added, but both girls were home and fine, so they left.
However, he’s still full of concern for his teenage daughter, writing on his own Twitter page, “Lindsay can twitter all she wants. This is about Ali and her welfare. Ali is 16 and Dina has no right allowing Ali to be in such elements.”
