Michelle Rodriguez, former star of the hit TV show ‘Lost’, was sentenced to 180 days in jail on Wednesday (October 10) for violating probation from a previous 2004 drunk-driving and hit-and-run offence.
The actress was sentenced by Judge Daviann Mitchell in a Los Angeles County Superior Court after she failed to complete community service, despite signing a document that said she had, according to city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan.
Judge Mitchell refused Rodriguez early release or home confinement with no work furlough and must complete 30 days of service to the transportation department.
Rodriguez’s list of offences has continued to grow of the past few years, with an arrest in 2004 following three driving offences, including a hit-and-run and drunk driving.
In May 2006 she was sentenced to 60 days jail for probation violation, but was released on the same day due to overcrowding, and was sentenced to another five days in jail for a separate DUI case.
