Michelle Rodriguez Starts Jail Sentence

Former ‘Lost’ star Michelle Rodriguez commenced her 180 day jail sentence on Sunday (December 23) after she was charged for violating her probation in a DUI case earlier this year (2007).
The 29-year-old actress was sentenced by Judge Daviann Mitchell on October 10 after she failed to complete community service, despite signing a document stating she had, that stemmed from a previous 2004 drunk-driving and hit and run offence.
Rodriguez checked in to the Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood, the same facility where other high profile inmates Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie have done time this year, at 4:33pm to commence her six month stay.
She was previously sentenced to 60 days jail for probation violation in May 2006, but was released on the same day due to overcrowding and was again sent to jail for another five days for a seperate DUI case that same year.

Her booking sheet shows a release date of 12c April, 2008 so she has been given about 90 days off her sentence for good behavior. After she has served 10% of the 180 day sentence (18 days) she could be released for overcrowding. Lets hope that happens, her sentence and all the additional restrictions was extremely harsh and excessive.
