Michelle Williams has denied a story that claims she is feuding with Heath Ledger’s family and is boycotting the upcoming premiere of the Batman sequel ‘The Dark Knight.’
Williams responded to the reports via a statement from her rep Mara Buxbaum, who says, “The presumption that Michelle ever intended to attend ‘The Dark Knight’ premiere is unfounded, but to say she is ‘boycotting’ due to a rift with Heath’s family is absurd.”
Buxbaum added, “It is time to allow this family to go about their lives without this continued scrutiny and speculation.”
Ledger passed away on January 22 this year of a prescription drug overdose.
His family will make the journey from Perth in Australia to New York for the premiere of ‘The Dark Knight’ on July 14.
Williams and the late Aussie actor were engaged and had a daughter, Matilda, prior to breaking up last year.
