Mike Myers new movie, ‘The Love Guru’, has not even completed filming yet, bit it is already drawing the ire of the Hindu community who fear that the film may ‘stereotype’ the culture.
Myers plays Guru Pitka – billed as "The second best guru in India" – who repeats the mantra of ‘Mariska Hargitay’, the actress from television’s ‘Law and Order: SVU’, as his calming technique.
A reported Hindu leader from Nevada, Rajan Zed, is fearful that the new movie "appears to be lampooning Hinduism and Hindus", and has demanded an advanced screening of the movie.
Paramount Pictures has agreed to a preview of the movie for Hindu leaders, saying in a statement that, "`Love Guru’, which is not yet complete, is a satire created in the same spirit as Austin Powers. It is our full intention to screen the film for Rajan Zed and other Hindu leaders once it is ready."

Mr. Zed is letting those Senate prayers go to his head. Is he now the Martin Luther Gupta of the Hindu community?

Mariska Hargitay. Mariska Hargitay.
Some controversy is there for Hindoos. I am also born Hindoo from my birth mother.
I am also convert to Guru Pitka religion, being strict follower and disciple ever since January. Guru Pitka is also not Hindoo, born American ever since his birth mother only, and also not affiliated with any one religion. Therefore the Hindoos should not attack it. Isn’t it?
