Miley Cyrus has dismissed rumors that she is set to leave Disney’s ‘Hannah Montana,’ saying she is “fully committed” to the show.
TMZ reported on the weekend that an on-set ‘spy’ claimed Cyrus “bragged that she will get fired, making it clear she wants to focus on singing and not the show.
The article also states her father, Billy Ray, “has told people on the set that he and Miley will do 12 more episodes and then they are out.”
However, the 15-year-old star released a statement denying the rumor saying, “I am fully committed to Hannah Montana. It’s what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people.”
“I’m really excited about our new season. We are making great new episodes that I can’t wait for our fans to see and I’m looking forward to the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie that will be out in the spring.”
Additionally, Disney announced on Monday (September 22) that the movie’s release date will be brought forward almost a month and will now hit screens in the U.S. on April 10.
