Miley Cyrus says she’s “deeply saddened” after a tour bus carrying her lighting crew crashed in Richmond, Virginia, on Friday (November 20) killing the driver and injuring nine others.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill “Uncle Bill” Douglas,” a statement from the Cyrus Family said on her official website.  “Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed.”

An investigation into why the bus drifted off the road and crashed is currently underway.
