Mischa Barton has claimed that recently published photos of her where she appears to have large amounts of cellulite are doctored and not the real deal.

Photographs taken by Australian paparazzi, Jamie Fawcett, and published by Britain’s The Daily Mail show the 22-year-old actress on the balcony of a resort during her recent trip down under.

According to the newspaper, "Smoker Mischa is not often seen without a packet of cigarettes which may provide a clue as to why the young actress should be blighted by the stubborn fat."

Barton’s rep, Lisa Perkins, told Rush & Molloy from the New York Daily News that, "Those photos are doctored.  I’m not saying she’s perfect, nobody is.  But they’ve given a 22-year-old woman the legs and bottom of an 80-year-old."

"Look at the shots that were taken shortly before on a beach in L.A. Did she develop all that cellulite in a couple of weeks?  There’s a lot you can do with Photoshopping."
