Following her disappearance from the Hollywood spotlight after leaving her hit tv series ‘The O.C.’, Mischa Barton has launched her own website to counteract the spin and highlight what she’s been up to.

In a video message, the 22-year-old says, “This is something I’ve really wanted for a long time, I’m just excited to have a real connection with my fans and put some truth out there.”

She adds, “I just think there’s all kinds of misconceptions on the internet these days and I really think that the internet can be used for good and for bad and there’s all kinds of crap that’s written about me.

“Half the time I look at the internet and read these stories and they’re just so outlandish and not true at all and I don’t want my fans to have the wrong idea of who I am as a person.”
