Mischa Barton Offered Role In Gossip Girl

Mischa Barton has knocked back a role in the cult television hit ‘Gossip Girl’, with the actress’s rep confirming that the former ‘The OC’ star knocked back the part.

US publication TV Guide reported this week that Barton had been asked to play a friend of Serena Van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively, but her management turned it down.

"She will not be on the show," her rep told Usmagazine.com. "She was approached, but her reps passed."

Barton was charged earlier this week with drink driving, marijuana possession and driving without a license following an arrest in Hollywood on December 27 last year.
