A new mixtape combining the music of Coldplay and Jay-Z has received the band’s official stamp of approval, despite them saying the “sonic alchemy” won’t be to their music lawyer’s liking.
The mesh of the music superstars was constructed by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban who were inspired by Coldplay and Jay-Z’s recent collaboration on their new song ‘Lost +’.
A message posted on Coldplay’s official website says:
“Good afternoon. It may not quite be the cup of tea of the EMI and Roc-A-Fella music lawyers, but we’re rather enjoying the new Viva La Hova bootleg album which has popped up on the internet this week, featuring tracks made from Jay-Z rhymes and Coldplay tunes. Click here if you’d like to check out this impressive work of sonic alchemy.”
