Following their recent "world tour" - in which a string of planned dates were cancelled in favor of more US and UK tour dates - The Spice Girls have further disappointed their fans, by announcing that there will be no concert DVD of the show released.
Due to "the phenomenal demand" for tickets, the girls added extra dates to their US and European legs at the expense of concert stops in Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina, who had all originally been included in the tour announcement.
Fans who had signed up for tickets in Australia even received email notification of their intention to visit, with the band’s promoter requesting the number of tickets concert-goers were seeking, just prior to the cancellation announcement.
In a further blow for fans who missed the tour, a post on The Spice Girls official website this week reveals, "Sadly there will not be a DVD release of the 47-date tour, but the girls hope you were all left with some fantastic personal memories of the show."
