The rumor mill has been working overtime with reports that Britney Spears will be performing at next month’s MTV Video Music Awards, however, her manager has denied she’ll take the stage to sing.

Following Spears’ disastrous attempted comeback at last years awards show, her hair stylist Kim Vo reportedly told E! News he was creating three separate looks for the singer for the VMA’s.

Ryan Seacrest read out a statement from Rudolph on his Los Angeles radio show Monday (August 25) saying, “The report that was on E! on Friday that Britney is performing at the VMA’s is just wrong. She’s in the middle of recording her next album which is going “amazingly” well and was never supposed to perform at that show.  Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMA’s this year, I’m telling you officially and unequivocally that B.S. will not be there.”
