UPDATED: Naomi Campbell was sentenced to 200 hours of community service on Friday (June 20) after she pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers, following an incident where she was evicted from a British Airways flight at London’s Heathrow airport earlier this year.
The 38-year-old supermodel fronted at Uxbridge Magistrates Court in London and pleaded guilty to four charges with her spokesman, Alan Edwards, telling Reuters that the incident was “regrettable”.
Campbell pleaded guilty to four charges including assaulting two police officers and one public order offence, a spokeswoman for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.
“We’ve accepted that plea,” the CPS spokeswoman added.
Campbell had reportedly complained that her bags had gone missing at the airport’s recently opened Terminal 5, and following her outburst, police escorted her off the aircraft.
The supermodel was also ordered to pay compensation of 200 pounds to one of the police officers, 150 pounds to the captain and was given 2,300 pounds in other fines Reuters reports.
