On Friday supermodel Naomi Campbell left the Brazilian hospital where she spent most of the week, following surgery for an unknown ailment, believed to be the removal of a small cyst.
Campbell went into hospital on Sunday, according to the hospital – her rep says she entered on Monday – and has been released on Friday (February 29), with her doctor, Dr. Jose Aristodemo Pinotti, telling Globo news that he recommended plenty of rest for the model.
The Hospital Sirio-Libanes released a statement saying, "The patient has recovered well from her surgery."
Reports had stated that Campbell had a small cyst removed but Pinotti refuses to comment on the procedure.
"When a patient asks for discretion, be it Naomi or just plain Maria, I respect their wishes," he told Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.
