Tabloid media and gossip columns have jumped on a quote from actress Natalie Portman in which she refers to her ‘Other Boylen Girl’ co-star Scarlett Johannson’s breasts – however, most have not reported the entire story.

With headlines such as, ‘Natalie smitten by Johannson’s assets’, and ‘Natalie and Scarlett have dangerous liasons’, Portman’s comment has circulated widely, with gossip blogger Perez Hilton adding it as his ‘Quote of the Day’ on his website.

The suposedly random comment from Portman states: "Seriously, I would really want to grab Scarlett’s breasts. She’s got beautiful ones."

However, once put into context, the comment is not as salacious as it seems.

In the original interview with British newspaper The Sunday Times, Portman was actually speaking of an incident on the red carpet at the 2006 Golden Globes, when fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi groped Johannson’s breasts.

Times journalist Emma Forrest‘s wrote, ‘Back when Portman was 14, she was the face of Isaac Mizrahi, who would go on to cause a minor scandal at the Golden Globes two years ago, when he grabbed Johansson’s breasts. "Seriously, I would want to grab them. She’s got beautiful ones, but, Isaac, that was not so appropriate," Portman said.’
