Representatives for actress Natalie Portman have hit back at reports suggesting the actress was "upset" at not receiving an invitation to the 30th anniversary of ‘Star Wars’.
Portman, who played Queen Amidala in the three ‘Star Wars’ prequels, was allegedly snubbed for the five-day celebration in Los Angeles last week.
Reports have her saying, "It’s upsetting. You would have thought, being the queen, I would have at least received a letter."
However, her rep says, "Natalie wasn’t even in the country… The story is false, and all the quotes are made up."
A posting on a fansite, solved the origin of the quote, revealing that it was lifted from an interview with ‘Total Film’ magazine:
TF: Have you been invited to any Star Wars anniversary parties?
NP: No, I haven’t heard anything!
TF: That’s an outrage. You’re Queen bloody Amidala…
NP: I know. You should write a letter! That’s upsetting.
