US television network NBC has ordered a full season of ‘Kath & Kim’ as the remake of the Australian hit television series continues to grow its audience.
The Molly Shannon and Selma Blair comedy has averaged six million viewers per week over its first four episodes, which is in contrast to it’s performance down under, where it was axed after just two screenings due to poor ratings.
Announcing the full season order, NBC Entertainment executive Vice President said, “‘Kath & Kim’ is a show we love and believe in. We have incredible confidence in the creative auspices of this show and we believe it’s a perfect fit with our Thursday-night comedies.”
