Nicole Kidman discussed her future plans during a press conference in Sydney on Tuesday (November 18), to promote her new movie ‘Australia, saying that she’s unsure if her future is in acting.
The 41-year-old, whose recent movies have failed at the box office, told reporters, “In terms of my future as an actor and stuff, I don’t know.
“I am in a place in my life where… I’ve had some great opportunities and I may just choose to have some more children. I’ve no idea what is in my future but I am very at peace with where I want to be. There are many things I want to do besides act.”
Baz Luhrmann’s epic new movie, starring Kidman alongside fellow Aussie Hugh Jackman, is a classic love story set in outback Australia during World War II.
“Obviously we’re in character when we kiss, but it was good to go to work,” Kidman joked about her scenes with Jackman.
“Rarely do you get to make a film that you’ve dreamed of doing since you were little, which is to be part of the Australian cinema,” she continued. “I haven’t really had a film that’s done that in a big way.”
‘Australia’ opens internationally on November 26.
