Nicole Richie had her 2006 DUI probation extended for a further 12 months on Wednesday (June 22), for failing to attend alcohol education classes.

The judge overseeing the case granted an extension, as Richie had been busy raising her two children, Harlow and Sparrow.

According to her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, Richie will now have until March 2011 to complete the course, with the probation being wiped if she finishes sooner.
