Nicollette Sheridan Suing Desperate Housewives Creator

nicollette-sheridan-abc-andrew-ecclesFormer Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan is suing Marc Cherry, the creator of the hit tv series, for $20 million, claiming he assaulted her and that she was wrongfully terminated.

nicollette-sheridan-abc-andrew-ecclesIn the lawsuit that was filed Monday (April 5), Sheridan states that Cherry created a hostile working environment, “behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show.”

In one particular case when Sheridan questioned the script, “Cherry took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.”

According to the documents, the 45-year-old is suing for assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination, claiming that she was fired from the show after lodging a complaint with the ABC network.

Sheridan played Edie Britt on the high-rating show for five seasons.
