No Brain Tumor For Katherine Heigl On Grey’s Anatomy

Shonda Rhymes has put rumors that Katherine Heigl’s character will develop a brain tumor in the upcoming series of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ to rest, dismissing the claims and revealing an old flame may reignite for her character
Heigl, who plays Izzie on the show, took herself out of Emmy contention earlier this year saying, “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination,” causing gossip columns to speculate about her future with the medical drama.
Discussing the new series of ‘Grey’s’ with E! Online, Rhymes was asked about the brain tumor rumors and simply responded “No.”
However, she hints that the relationship between Alex and Izzie could fire up again saying, “I think you’re going to see a lot of really interesting sparks between the two of them.”
