No Israel Drug Treament For Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse has denied rumors that she is set to travel to Israel for a drug rehabilitation program following reports in the British media.

The Jewish Chronicle claimed on Friday (May 23) that the troubled singer was to undergo a £6,400 operation to help her beat her addictions.

The article quotes Eliezer Cohen, chairman of the Israel Anti-Drug Authority, as saying Winehouse will travel to his country for "medical care, which is a very short, intensive and effective treatment."

Chris Goodman, a rep for the 24-year-old, dismissed the reports telling the Telegraph, "These are just old rumours. She’s going back in the studio and has absolutely no plans to go abroad for treatment."
