There’s been talk in the tabloids over the past week that George Clooney is set to re-join the cast of ‘ER‘ for the long-running medical drama’s 15th season, however, the actor has knocked the rumor down, saying he has "never even talked about it".
Clooney was a virtually unknown 33-year old actor when he joined the cast as Dr. Doug Ross, and set women’s hearts alight worldwide after becoming an instant sex symbol.
Recent reports suggest that the 46-year-old was set to reprise his role for the show’s possible last season, but this has turned out to be false, with Clooney denying the stories in an interview with television show ‘Entertainment Tonight Canada‘.
"No, never – we never even talked about it," he explains.
"No one has ever asked me. It’s the funniest thing. The story came out, and I was like ‘Where did that come from?’ It was everywhere – I mean in one day!
"I ran into John Wells [ER's Executive Producer] two days ago on the lot… and said to him, ‘What the hell happened?’ He said, ‘I don’t know. I don’t know where that came from."
