Obama Speaks Out On Michael Jackson’s Death

July 4th, 2009

The President has defended his silence following the death of Michael Jackson last Thursday (June 25), praising the singer for his music and impact on the world saying, “I still have all his stuff on my ipod.”  Watch him remember the King of Pop after the jump.

While Obama was quiet about MJ’s death last week, it seemed that all he needed was for someone to approach him on the topic.

“Look, you’re the first person who’s actually asked me about it,” he told the Associated Press.

Obama adds that Jackson will “go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers.”

He continues, “I still have all his stuff on my iPod.”
