Mary-Kate Olsen was taken to hospital on Monday (November 19) in New York with a kidney infection her publicist has told The Associated Press.

The 21-year-old actress / mogul, who recently had a guest starring role on the hit television show ‘Weeds’, was admitted to an un-named Manhattan hospital and was being treated on Tuesday.

Nicole Caruso, Olsen’s rep, explained in an email that, "She has a kidney infection. She is resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so."
