Oprah Denies Introducing Donda West to Surgeon

Oprah Winfrey categorically denied on Tuesday (November 13) that she introduced Donda West, mother of hip-hop artist Kanye, to the surgeon who operated on West just prior to death at the weekend.
West passed away "as the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure", her publicist Patricia Green stated on Sunday, after she was rushed to Centineela Freeman Regional Medical Centre in Los Angeles in cardiac arrest.
Stories circulated on Monday that Winfrey had recommended two doctors to West, one of whom was Dr. Jan Adams, West’s operating doctor.
Access Hollywood reports that Adams appeared on Winfrey’s top rated show on April 27, 2005 along with Kanye West, however the talk show host denied introducing, nor recommending Adams, saying that his appearance in 2005 was the last time she had spoken to the doctor.
"Absolutely untrue," read a statement from Winfrey’s representative. "Oprah did not introduce Dr. West to Dr. Adams."
CelebTV.com has reported that Dr. Adams has allegedly been the target of previous malpractice suits, also claiming they have documents from the Executive Director of the California Medical Board asking to consider revoking or suspending Dr Adams surgical license.

Everyone is trying to make this about Oprah and others when the only thing that matters is whether or not the doctor was responsible for Dr.West’s death. Regardless as to who referred him Dr. West was more than capable of making decisions on her own. If Dr. Adams is responsible he should be made to pay. He is a disgrace to all African Americans who have fought so hard to overcome the stereotypes others have labeled us as. My heart felt condolences go out to Kanye and his family because regardless as to who is responsible he has lost the most important woman in his life.
