Oprah Gets A Street Named After Her In Chicago

As Oprah gets ready to wrap up her daily show once and for all, the Queen of TV has had a street named after her in her hometown of Chicago.

Oprah Winfrey Way will form part of the road near her studio, Mayor Richard Daley announced in a ceremony on Wednesday (April 11).

“This is better than an Oscar or an Emmy,” she joked.

“I just would like to say thank you to… the mayor and also to the city of Chicago for embracing me and allowing me to make a stand here.”

Oprah’s final show will air on May 25.
