Orlando Bloom To Visit Middle Earth Again

Orlando Bloom has signed on to The Hobbit, reprising his role as Legolas in the Lord of the Rings spinoff.
“But Legolas doesn’t appear anywhere in The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien?” I hear you ask.
That would be correct my elf-loving LOTR’s boffin, but there’s nothing like a bit of Hollywood creativity to help ring up box office receipts and if that means manipulating the storyline to bring back one of the trilogy’s most loved characters then so be it!
“Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas,” Jackson wrote on Facebook. “I’m excited to announce today that we’ll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again.”
