Patrick Dempsey: I Want To Be A Supermodel

Patrick Dempsey, star of television’s ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, who is spending his weekend racing around Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Gainsco Grand Prix and has discussed his recent stint as a model for up-market fashion house Versace.
The racing enthusiast, who plays Dr. Derek ‘McDreamy’ Shepherd on the hit medical drama, recently played a prince in the movie ‘Enchanted’, and is about to play the lead in a romantic comedy called ‘Made of Honor’ – however, he has expressed a desire to play a different role.
"I’ve done this kind of thing for every generation," Dempsey tells The Miami Herald.
"Now I have little girls coming up to me for ‘Enchanted‘. But I’d like to get out of the box, not do so much commercial stuff. Not that I want to play a serial killer or anything.”
McDreamy has also recently signed on to model the spring/summer ’08 collection for Versace’s mens range, sarcastically saying, "I just want to be a supermodel. Doesn’t everybody? I didn’t make the cover of People’s Sexiest Man Alive; Matt Damon did. I have all the covers of People’s sexiest for the last five years on my wall."
