A website that is aiming to encourage access to new treatments for pancreatic cancer is using Patrick Swayze’s name and likeness to generate publicity, despite the actor having no prior knowledge of the site’s existence.
Swayze announced on March 5 that he had been diagnosed with the life-threatening disease, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
The website CureConnieandPatrick.com, which uses the actor’s photo and name to promote its cause, was started by the family of Connie Loughman, who is also battling pancreatic cancer.
Loughman’s family sent out a press release "hoping for an Easter miracle," however, Swayze may put a stop to the site, as the ‘Dirty Dancing’ star has no affiliation with the family or the site.
"Patrick is not aware of this web site, and he has no association with it or the medication it advertises," Annett Wolf, Swayze’s publicist, told Defamer.com.
"He is not affiliated with the woman from the site; Patrick had no knowledge of her."

I see the Connie site still encourages folks to support her and Patrick. What’s the score with Patrick, is he endorsing the site? A scandal
