Rocker Pete Doherty has explained a bizarre video that he posted on YouTube on Friday (May 16), in which he and Amy Winehouse play with baby mice.

The video, entitled ‘winemouse’, had the pair handling the baby mice, with Winehouse holding one to the camera and putting on a voice.

"Hi Blake," she said waving the mouse in front of the camera.  "Please don’t divorce mommy…  I don’t know what I’m doing but I know what love is."

Doherty explained to music website gigwise.com that the video was innocent, saying, "One of the mice gave birth didn’t it? I think it was Jennifer. She (Winehouse) was really fond of them."

The pair uploaded another video which was later pulled from the video sharing website, and he posted a musical number with Winehouse playing guitar while his 12-year-old goddaughter, Dionne D, sings an Alicia Keys track.
