Peter Andre has defended himself against a British tabloid that claims that he gave a revealing interview about the breakdown of his marriage to Katie Price, with the singer saying he didn’t call her “a drunken slapper”, but did perform the above song for paper.

The Daily Star ran the story on Wednesday (August 12), under the heading ‘Jordan The Slapper’, with Andre allegedly saying, “The pictures of her tell the whole story about how our marriage was destroyed… I never imagined she’d do any of this, but it should give you a clearer picture of why I left her in the first place.”

However, Andre has fired back via a statement released on his official website:

“Peter Andre did not call Katie Price a drunken slapper nor did he reveal the reasons why he left her.

Yesterday Peter Andre went into the Daily Star offices to do a piece for their playlist section of the newspaper. Whilst he was there it was arranged that he would do an interview with the newspaper at noon today to run in tomorrow’s paper. We must make it clear that whilst Peter Andre was at the Daily Star offices he did not call Katie Price a drunken slapper nor did he reveal the reasons why he left her.

These are not Peter Andre’s quotes so please do not attribute them to him in your own publications.”
