First Pic Of Russell Crowe As Robin Hood

This is the first pic of a slimmed down Russell Crowe, starring as Robin Hood in the new Ridley Scott flick of the same name.

He may steal from the rich to give to the poor in this latest update of the legendary tale, but don’t expect him to wear tights, with the Aussie star telling Entertainment Tonight, “Unfortunately, tights weren’t invented for another 400 years.” 

The new look is certainly a change from his latest big screen outing in State of Play, where the actor had to bulk up.

“It’s not hard to gain the weight,” Crowe says.  “But it’s very difficult to take it off again, and every time I do it gets harder and harder the older I get.”
