Chicago police have arrested William Balfour for the murders of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew in October, they announced Monday (December 1).
The 27-year-old suspect had been in custody since Hudson’s family members were shot dead on October 24, with police holding him on a parole violation stemming from a 1999 attempted murder conviction.
Balfour has been transferred to Chicago police custody pending charges approved by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Chicago Tribune reports.
