The lawsuit preventing the hit tv series Project Runway from moving to another US network has finally been resolved, with The Weinstein Company and Bravo’s parent company NBC reaching a deal.
With a new series completed, NBC blocked the producers from going to another network claiming they were denied right of first refusal, with the court placing an injunction on the show preventing the move.
A statement released on Thursday (April 1) says:
“NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes. The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome.
Harvey Weinstein added, “I want to personally congratulate Jeff Zucker and NBCU on their success in the litigation and thank Jeff for resolving this in a professional manner. We look forward to working together on our ongoing projects.”
