Celebrity chef Rachael Ray has dismissed tabloid rumors that she has throat cancer, with her rep confirming she is having a benign cyst removed from her vocal chords later this year.
The National Enquirer reported that the tv host was suffering from the disease and would be forced to put her show on hold due to the surgery leaving her unable to speak for two months.
“Rachael is the picture of health,” her rep, Charlie Dougiello said. “She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord. It’s a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely effect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings.”
