Rapper T.I. Going To Jail On Gun Charges

Rapper T.I. pleaded guilty to three charges of illegal weapons possession in Atlanta on Thursday, and faces up to 10 years in prison for each charge if he doesn’t abide by the terms of his plea agreement.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was arrested in October last year after one of his bodyguard‘s bought three machine guns and two silencers on his behalf. Harris was arrested when his bodyguard was caught by an operation from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Additionally, the rapper admitted to owning a further eight guns, which he had purchased illegally.
The 27-year-old must serve 1,000 hours of community service, with U.S. attorney David Nahmias saying in a statement "that (community) service will focus on using his high public visibility and his talents and life experience to tell at-risk young people about the mistakes he has made, and to educate them about the dangers of violence, guns, gangs, and drugs."
If Harris sticks to the plea bargain, he will receive one year in prison, pay a $100,000 fine, and serve three years under a supervised release program, which will include one year of home detention.
"While I’m not looking forward to being incarcerated, I have a long road of redemption to travel," Harris said. "I am dedicated and committed to that."

I got mad respect for T.I. Regardless of what he did. Every one makes mistakes simply because no one on earth is perfect. I’m just amazed at the fact that he is learning from his mistakes and he did not lie about the situation. He told the truth and is dealing with the consequences like a real man. Words cant even express the respect i have for T.I. Especially after watching his show. Its about time they show the world the good that he is doing and stop focusing on the negative.
