Rapper The Game Released From Jail Early

March 10th, 2008

Rapper The Game was released from jail on Sunday night (March 9) after serving just eight days of his 60 day sentence, following his arrest for pulling a gun on a man during a basketball game in South Los Angeles last year.

The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was sentenced to 60 days in jail, 150 hours of community service, and three years probation.

Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told TMZ.com that the reason for his early release was overcrowding.

Taylor‘s charges related to an incident from February last year, when, during a basketball game in a South L.A. school ground, the rapper punched another player and pulled a gun out, threatening to shoot him.
