Reps: Jay Leno Doing Well & Out Of Hospital

Jay Leno is doing well and has been released from hospital, his reps said Friday (April 24), after the late night talk show host fell ill and missed his first Tonight Show in 17 years.

Dick Guttman, Leno’s publicist, wouldn’t confirm that food poisoning was behind the 59-year-old’s hospital stay saying, “I’m not sure that’s the case but whatever it was, it certainly was severe enough that he couldn’t do the show but it wasn’t symptomatic of anything major and he’ll be back on Monday.”

A rep for the show announced that Leno had been released, telling TMZ he is “feeling much better and has been released from the hospital.”
