Robert Pattinson Denies Knowledge Of Car Accident

A rep for Robert Pattinson has denied that the actor was involved in a minor fender-bender while reversing out of a friend’s driveway in Malibu, California, on Saturday (July 24).

The owner of the other vehicle, Rob Gottschlich, told OK! magazine that it was only a minor bingle saying, “If I had a nice car like a Lexus or something, maybe (I would be concerned), but I’ve got an old Kia. I am going to ask Rob next time I see him for free tickets to the next Twilight film.”

Pattinson’s rep released the following statement regarding the accident:

“Robert was pulling out of a parking space after a quiet day in Malibu yesterday and was relentlessly pursued by paparazzi. He has no knowledge of having bumped or damaged another car in the process.”

    Those pap relentlessly stalked Rob. He nicely asked them to quit following him and they said they wouldn't follow him and then they did. It was hard to watch the video and I am sorry I did – it makes me feel like I contributed to the paps stalking episode. At the end when the main photographer finally lets Rob go without following him – he actually sounds sorry and says referring to Rob – he is such a nice guy. Well, then leave the nice guy alone! There was no hit and run on the video either – just made up stuff for hits on the internet i am sure. Leave Rob alone!
