Robert Pattinson: “I’m Not Like Edward… He’s A Weirdo”

It seems that heartthrob Robert Pattinson can’t understand why Twilight fans love his character so passionately, with the actor saying, “You always get weirdos like Edward, who seem to attract women for some reason.”
In an interview with UK OK! magazine, the New Moon actor shares his thoughts on his famous fictional character, Edward Cullen.
“If Edward wasn’t a fictional character and you met him in reality, he is like one of those guys who would probably be an axe murderer or something,” Pattinson said.
Well it seems that if Edward doesn’t bite you first, there may be an axe to follow…
The 23-year-old actor adds, “I had no idea people could get so obsessed. But it’s not scary – it’s amazing. People just project their idea of my character on to me and they just seem to assume that I’m the same, when in reality I’m not.”
