Swedish pop singer Robyn, who recently toured Europe as the opening act for Madonna, has clarified reports in which she allegedly slammed the Material Girl.
Robyn reportedly revealed in a press interview, which was subsequently picked up by numerous gossip blogs, that she was told not to approach, speak to or take photos of Madonna throughout the, and stated that her “worst nightmare” would to become like the 50-year-old singer.
In a statement to Perez Hilton, Robyn clarifies, “When I met her at the end of the tour she was really cool and natural. I got a chance to thank her for putting me on and she even told me she was a fan! It was a very special moment I will never forget…”
She adds, “In one interview I was asked if I wanted a career like Madonnas and I said no, my worst nightmare would be trying to be a Madonna. She’s an icon and a pioneer, but only Madonna can be Madonna. It would be sad to try to copy her model.”

Robyn should just shut-up and put a plug in it. She was slamming Madonna long before she was asked to join the Hard Candy tour; so the fact that she said yes is just proof that she is also a sell-out. Madonna knows she can buy anyone. What a loser you are, Robyn, if you cannot just shut-up about it! Put a plug in it. Cork it. Stifle.
